Why Millian

Anyone can print a file. We check it will work first.

Every job starts with a designer looking at your file: wall thickness, fit, strength, scale. Problems get fixed on screen, not after the print.

You get one point of contact, plain advice and a part that does its job.

Expertise

A design engineer, not a print bureau.

I trained in product design engineering and have spent over eight years turning ideas into physical prototypes. That means I think about how a part is used, loaded and assembled, not just whether it will print.

For you, that means fewer reprints, stronger parts and models that read well at scale.

Services

Three things, done properly.

Concept to finished part. Bring a sketch, a CAD file or a broken original.

  • Product design input and CAD clean-up
  • Functional prototypes you can test, show and hand to investors
  • Overflow prototyping for design studios and exhibition builders
  • One-offs and short production runs
  • Honest advice on when printing is not the right process
Ask about a part

Tough parts made to fit your exact tool, vehicle or workshop. Not a generic rack that nearly fits.

  • Tool holders, brackets and drilling or cutting jigs
  • Van, vehicle and dashboard mounts
  • Workshop organisation, made to measure
  • Discontinued trim, clips and fittings for classic and specialist vehicles, reproduced from the original or a photo
  • Hard-wearing materials: PETG for toughness, ASA for heat and sunlight

Abstract render of terraced contour layers, suggesting a topographic site model

Accurate, quick and local, with a designer’s eye for scale and presentation.

  • Massing and concept models
  • Topographic site models
  • Existing versus proposed models for basements, slopes and sensitive sites
  • Physical evidence for planning applications and consultations
  • Facade and component details

How it works

From file to finished part in four steps.

  1. 1

    Send it over

A file, a sketch or a photo with a tape measure in shot. Tell us what it is for and when you need it.

  2. 2

    We check and quote

We review fit, strength and scale, suggest any fixes and send a clear quote.

  3. 3

    Print and finish

Printed in Kingston, cleaned up and checked before it leaves.

  4. 4

    Collect or post

Collect in Kingston, or we post it to you.

Selected work

Recent projects.

Two printed site models, one with the proposed underground garage and one without. Submitted as planning evidence to show the scheme had minimal impact on the site’s topography.

Questions

FAQ

What files can you work from?

STL, STEP, OBJ and 3MF are ideal. For other formats, drawings or a photo with measurements, just ask.

I do not have a 3D file. Can you still help?

Yes. Send a sketch or a photo with a tape measure in shot and we will model it for you. Design time is quoted separately.

How long does it take?

It depends on size and finish. You get a delivery date with your quote.

How much does it cost?

Every job gets a quote before anything is printed, based on size, material and any design time.

How strong are printed parts?

Strong enough for most brackets, holders and jigs when the right material and orientation are chosen. We will tell you if a part needs metal instead.

What is the free test print?

For new architecture and development clients: a small section of your model, printed at your chosen scale, so you can judge detail and finish before you commit.

Do you deliver?

Collect from Kingston upon Thames, or we can post it. Ask about local drop-off.
